In the Revolutionary War Americans were fighting for their liberty, since they felt that Britain's unfair taxation failed to account for the needs of Americans. Occurring in the 13 colonies of North America, Britain was the aggressor due to their unfair taxation as well as being the first to open gunfire in April of 1775 in Lexington and Concord as well as. In the end, America was successful in their quest for liberty, for in modern day the United States are still free from British reign. -

In the French Revolution, people in the Third Estate were fighting for the rights of life, liberty, and property in comparison to the First and Second Estates. Taking place in France (mainly Paris), the unfair government was the aggressor of the war, as they subjected millions to horrible living conditions, leading lower castes to fight. In the end, the revolutionaries were successful since they changed France from a monarchy to National Assembly, but the war was long and devastating. -

Venezuelans began the revolution, though at the heart Spain is the aggressor, since their inability to listen and accept change ultimately caused the revolution. While initial efforts of the revolution failed, after thirteen years the revolution ended, with Venezuela a free country. -

Then, natives revolted for their freedom, Americans being the aggressor since they were the first to attack the Phillipines. In the end, the Phillipines gained their freedom, indicated by the fact that they are no longer a colony under oppression today.
