In 1943 people wanted to watch baseball but because of the war most of the men baseball players were at war. But in 1943 they made up the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League so they can watch baseball again. They played at Mens fields because they were not being used because of the war. This was also another way to make money in the stadium owners point of view. -

On April 15, 1947 Jackie Robinson left to Ebbets field to play his first MLB game. It was a first for MLB too it was the first game with a African-American baseball player. He first played for the montreal royals, a minor league team for the Dodgers, but he worked up to play for the Dodgers. -
