    A more convenient and cheaper version of the PET personal computer. The commodore was made to bring in more customers for Commodore international. Its purpose was the same as the PET and acted as a home computer rather than just personal. The commodore was an improved gateway for more people to have a computer(CHM).

    The DN100 was one of the first computer workstations. It rivaled other companies but somehow came on top. This invention led to the creation of more computer workstations and led to improvement throughout the decade(CHM).
  • Lisa Computer

    Apple came out with the Lisa computer in 1983. It was the first computer with a GUI ( graphical user interface). In basic terms, GUI is a system that uses icons and menus as well as a mouse(Gartner Inc). This computer was essential because it led to the creation of more computers created by Microsoft. It acted as an inspiration for other companies.

    Apple launches its new creation called the Macintosh in 1984. It was one of the most highly anticipated inventions of the decade(CHM). It was the first mouse-driven computer and the significance is that it led to how we use computers today.
  • NeXT Cube

    NeXT Cube
    Steve Jobs was forced out of apple during the 80s(CHM) and therefore joined another company. He created the cube and it excelled in software development. Due to its rapid success, the cube was used as the base for computers such as the Mac OS.
