Utilitarianism
Utilitarism was introduced by an Engish philosophy named Jeremy Bentham. Bentham wrote a book in 1789, in there he agrued about how poeple should judge ideas, institutions and actions based on the basis of their utility or usefulness. He thought that governemtn should try to promote the greatest good for the greatest number of people. -

The Industrial Revolution gave women a bunch of mixed feelings. Some felt as though they needed to get a job and earn money for their family and others felt that they still need to stay home to spin cotton thread because they only made one-third as much money as men. -
Communism/Marxism
Communism/Marxism was introduced to the world by Karl Marx. He and Friedrich Engels wrote a 23 page pamphlet named The Communist Manifesto. In this pamphlet the two talked about how the human societies have always been divided into warring classes. Marx and Engles both believed that teh Industrial Revolution had enriched the wealthy and impoverished the poor.
