The August Offensive was a major attpmt made by the Allied Forces to break the stalemate since their landing on April 25th 1915. It consisted of 6 seperate battles and two differnt phases througout the month of August. -

Two regiments of the Australians 3rd Light House Brigade staged a useless and futile attack on the Ottoman trenches, resulting in nearly 400 Australians killed. -

The last major assault of The August Offensive. Its date was set to coincide with the Attack on Scimitar Hill. If they had succeded in the Battle, it would have allowed the Anzac and Sulva landings to be securely linked. -
End of Gallipoli Campaign
Defeated by the Ottoman Empire, the Australian and British troops had been ordered to retreat from Gallipoli, but this was not as easy as it may sound. The preperations of evacuation had started in novemeber to make themselves appear as if they were mearly preparing for the winter. The last of the troops however were finally evacuated just after the start of January in the dead of night, the last Australian and British troops caught their last glimpses of Gallipoli. -

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, Germany had signed an Armsitice to agree to the end of conflict with the Triple Entente.
