The Oldcastle Revolt (1414-1417)
A Lollard uprising (Which means it was a protestant-Christian movement), it was directed against the Catholic Church and English King, which was Henry V at the time. It was not a very stable and organized revolt and the person who ran it, John Oldcastle was defeated easily by the kings. But this revolt marked the start to the Wars of Religion. -

Knights' Revolt (1522-1523)
The start to the Reformation wars, the Knights' Revolt began because the Roman Catholic Church demanded 10% nithe, which meant that the Knights couldn't have that much of their wealth. They decided to drive the Church of Rome out of Germany. It did fail and had consequences that ended up being known as the Germans Peasants' War. -

German Peasants' War (1524-1525)
Inspired by the changes of the Reformation, German peasants wanted agrarian rights and freedom from their nobles and landlords. As well as the Reformation, the Knights' Revolt encouraged the Peasants' war because they too were being taxed by the Church. -

Italian War of 1542-1546
Much like the Schmalkaldic War, it was a war fought against the Holy Roman Empire, but against France and the Ottoman Empire. The war began because of the failure Truce of Nice, which was also a treaty that ended the Italian War of 1536-38. It seems as though in these religious wars, there's always a war that follows. -

Schmalkaldic War (1546-1547)
A war between Protestant Schmalkaldic League and Emperor Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire armies. The league was made up of Lutheran princes and cities that pledged not to be attacked. Charles V wanted to stop the Reformation Movement, but it was too powerful. This war could've had a effect on the French Wars of Religion because it had similar beliefs. -

French Wars of Religion (1562-1598)
There were eight wars that longed through this war, which started between the Protestants (Huguenots) and Catholics. Tensions grew high especially after the Massacre of Vassy, where Catholics killed more Protestants because they were vandalizing Catholic churches. Even though Henry IV changed his religion to Catholicism from Protestant, people still believed he failed the faith and was executed, which led France into the Thirty Year war and Increasing tensions in the Eighty Year' War. -
Eighty Year War (1568-1648)
The main reason why the eighty year war (Dutch Revolt) became was because of Phillip II's political and religious policies, which were taxing the Protestants because at this time they were going through the Protestant Reformation, which caused tensions between Catholics and Protestants. This war furthered the French wars of Religion. -
Bohemian Revolt (1618-1620)
The Bohemian Protestants started an uprise because they seen the Roman Catholic Empire falling back on their word, which was religious freedom. They did everything in their will power to stop the emperor, but ultimately failed. This started the conflicts of the thirty years war. -

Thirty Years War
The Thirty Years War was a war that was fought over religious beliefs between the Roman Catholics and Protestants, first it began as a Bohemian revolt, but ended up engulfing all of the European nations. It's one of the most deadliest wars, resulting in 8 million deaths. -

A conflict between France and Great Britain that began because of conflict over claiming land in North America, which were Pennsylvania area. Soon, it spread into other parts of the world such as Europe, Africa, and Asia. This war would cause the French Revolution because of how much money it took to fund this war. -
French Revolution (1787-1799)
The French Revolution was inspired by many other revolutions that were going on during that time, like for example the American Revolution. One of the many reasons why the French revolution started was because it became an economic crisis because of the higher prices, which led to higher prices of food, which then led to starvation. -
War of the First Coalition (1792-1797)
A continent-conflict between European nations (Austria, Prussia, Great Britain, Dutch Republic, Spain, and others). This war was brought by the ideas of the French Revolution, which threatened the Monarchies of Europe. -
Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815)
A series of conflicts fought under Napoleon Bonaparte and a number of European Nations. These wars were sparked by the war of the first coalition. -

A war that was started and the last recent war to be fought on American soil started when 11 southern states formed what was called the confederate states. The main conflict in this war was if slaves should be free or not. -

The Boer War
Just like what happened in the Seven Years War, The Boer War isn't any different because the British still want to obtain land. The Boer War was a war that was fought between the British and the South African Boers. The Boers were determined and skilled to go against them, but ultimately it was the British who would be left standing. -

World War I
At the start of the war (The Great War), after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. The murder erupted into a war that went across Europe. The central powers, which consisted of: Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire. The Allied forced consisted of: Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Canada, Japan, and the United States. This war caused a lot of damage due to the new technologies and trench warfare. -

The Russian Civil War
As World War I was waging on the Western Front, there was internal problems within Russia. Russians revolted the Czar Government, with doing that there was a conflict between socialists and communists. Socialists (Bolsheviks) rule made people who were communist revolt, which led to the Civil War. The Red Army (socialists) pushed out the White Russians (communists) and ended up in the victory of the Red Army. -

Irish Civil War
A conflict in Ireland between Irish Nationalists over the Anglo-Irish Treaty. What started the Civil War was the ranks in the IRA (Irish Republican Army), in 1922 Michael Collins created a pro-Treaty (independence from Britain)The treaty caused tensions in the free state and caused a war to break out which ended up in about 2,000 casualties. The IRA ended up having the victory. -

Spanish Civil War
Following the 1936 elections, a military uprising began. The Nationalists led the revolt against the government because of the polarization after the Great Depression, it caused an uprising. The Nationalists were gaining a lot of territory and getting supplies from Nazi Germany, while the loyalists were getting supplies from the Soviet Union. Ultimately control went over to the Nationalists and there were 500,000 deaths. -
World War 2 (1939-1945)
Events from WW1 were still in play when WW2 started, only there were a few more alliances forming, such as Japan being on Germany's side (Axis powers) and the Allies being similar (French, Britain, United States). How it started was when Hitler invaded Poland, it made France and Britain declare war on Germany. -
First Indochina War (1946-1954)
After WW2 when Japan surrendered, Vietnam didn't have a national government, so they declared independence, but France stopped that. In retaliation, the Viet Minh attacked the French. But, they didn't have the artillery like France did. The Indochina wars sparked the Vietnam war. -
Cold War (1947-1991)
The events that happened after WW2 that was between the Soviet Union and the United States happened because the Soviet Union wanted to make Eastern Europe communist, they even had the intent to spread it worldwide. The Berlin wall is what ultimately ended the cold war. -
Korean War (1950-1953)
At the ending of WW2, much like Vietnam, Korea was occupied by the Japanese. Korea was divided and then in 1950, North Korea invaded South Korea which was supported by the United states. What ended the war was when an armistice was signed by officials from the US, Republic of China, and North and South Korea. The armistice meant that they would stay a divided country. -
Vietnam War (1955-1975)
A long costly war that was against the communist government of North Vietnam against it's principal ally, the United States. How it started was because of the Indochina wars, when they wanted Independence from France. This conflict turned into conflict within the country of Vietnam. -
Laotian Civil War (1964-1975)
Laos became a ground for the conflicts of Cold war that was between the United States and the Soviet Union. What started the civil war when the North Vietnamese invasion of Laos in 1959, which related to the Vietnam War. What worried the United States in all of this was the Domino Theory that could affect Laos and other nations would follow.
