Japanese Invasion of China- Rozzie Rivas
In 1937 Japan and Chinese troops broke out into small fight which was known as the Marco Polo Bridge Incident. This then led the the secon Sino-Japanese War, because of the sian agreement the Chinese Nationalist and CCP fought with Japan. China had alliances with western democracies. They used 'scorched earth tactics' which included massacres. Many civilians were killed by the Japanese and also again when they bombed China. Although Japan killed millions of Chinese they were not the victors. -
Rape of Naking Avianna
In December of 1937 the Japanese army invaded Chinas capaital city. They murdered 300,000 people out of 600,000 people, killing half out their population. This event went on for six week and it is now known as the Rape of Naking. This was the worst event that happened during World War 2. -
Ribbentroop/Molotov Pact Avianna
The Ribbentroop/Molotov pact is also known as the German Solvant Pact. This was a agreement that was signed by both parties saying that no one from either side would be allies with the oppisite side. This agreement stood until the german government attacked Poland. This agreement came with a protocal that would divide territories and have territorial and political rearagments. -

On September 1st,1939 Hitlers army invaded Polands neighbor to begin World War 2. The British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain was forced to declare the United Kingdom at war with Germany. Hitler was quick and used air and land attacks,he immediately made Poland the defensive side. This war was called Blitzkrieg and was also known as "Lightning War" . The Germans also had ties with the Sovient Union and so therefore they also attacked Poland. This helped divide the sovereign nation into two. -

Blitzkrieg is a tactic where they used disorganization between the army forces and used firepower and mobile forces. The Germans first used this tactic on Poland and then reached France and lower countries in 1940. By six weeks they had dominated four nations and a year later they used the same tactic on the Soviet Union. Blitzkrieg was so useful other commanders adopted this tactic and used it for themselves. -
Fall of Paris Avianna
On June 14,1940 on a loud speaker for evryone to hear was a voice saying that the curfew would be at 8pm. On this day in the late afternoon the Germany are in Paris. The minister had try to keep the peace and hold it off to have the Gremans to come. He didnt want to have anyone sue for peace. Then america would come to help as they enter war. They needed all the help that they could get. The Germans came to Paris with tanks and by this time 2 million Persians had alrady left. -
Operation Barbarossa-salvador
Operation Barbarossa was one of the deadliest wars in WW2.The germans captured millions of soviet prisoners that were not granted protections stipulated in the Geneva Conventions. Over a million Soviet Jews were murdered by Einsatzgruppen death squads and gassing as part of the Holocaust. -

Bataan Death March
After the April 9, 1942, U.S. surrender of the Bataan Peninsula on the main Phillipine island of Luzon to the Japanese during World War II (1939-45),the approximately 75,000 Filipino and American troops on Bataan were forced to make an arduous 65-mile march to prison camps. The marchers made the trek in intense heat and were subjectedto harsh treatment by Japanese guards. Thousands perished in what became known as the Bataan Death March. -

On May 8, 1945 was and still is celebrated in Great Britain and in the United States for the victory of Europe that occured. For five years and 8 months a violent war in Europe began with the Germans invading Poland on September 1,1939. Europe and Italy fought against the British and the Americans in North Africa and Italy since, Europe was conquered by dicator Adolf Hitler and Italy was an ally of the Germans. On this day German soldiers decided to surrender having 2 million German inprisoned. -
Atomic Bomb Dropped on Hiroshima- Nohemi Orozco
An American B-29 bomber was dropped over the Japanese city in Hiroshimas on this day. The bomb killed about 130,000 people and cleared out about 90 percent of the city. The US decided to drop the bomb to end the war and win the war at the lowest cost. The US was warned that the Germans were working on doing researh of nuclear weapons which, made the US conduct their own nuclear weapon.The act of droppping this atmomic bomb made the US became the first and only nation to use this type of weapon. -
Atmoic Dropped on Nagasaki- Nohemi Orozco
Three days after the bombing in Hiroshima another bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Both bombs were to end the war with Japan which started when, Japan forces Pearl Harbor in Decemeber 1941. After the first successful bombing the US president at that time and his allies gave Japan an ultimatum to surender unconditionally or face destruction. They didn't accept until the second bombing which left about 40,000 killed on the day it was dropped and by the end of 1945 about 70,000 were killed. -
VJ Day-Nohemi Orozco
After the seconding bombing in Nagasaki Japan decided to surrender unconditionally. On this day it was announced that Japan had surrendered which ended the world war ll. Both the 15 of August and September 2nd are celebrated as the VJ Day since, General Koiso Kuniaki officially surrendered with a signed document on September 2,1945. When the people heard the announcement they took to the street to sing, dance and express their relief that the long conflict was over.
