I was born :)
I was born 2 weeks earlier than expected at 1:01pm at Grand River Hospital.
This is physical, emotional, and social because coming out into a whole new world surrounds a newborn with many new things. Family and friends were over almost everyday to visit me and I was exposed to the outside world. -
First Trip
I went to Arizona to visit my Aunt and Uncle when I was 3 months old.
This is an emotional and social change because it was my first time on an airplane, and I got to meet my Aunt and Uncle for the first time. -
Crawling, standing and walking
I crawled at 7 month, 16 days.
I took my first step at 1 year and 14 days.
I stated walking at 14 months, 1 day.
This is physical because I started to become aware of my capabilities. I figured out how to get up and walk around. -
First Swimming Lesson
My mom took me to swimming lessons at 9 months old. This is a physical and social change because it got me used to different environments and being comfortable in the water. Also I made new friends with some classmates and met lots of new people. -
First time skating by myself
Soon after I turned 3 I was able to skate all by myself on my backyard rink. This is a physical and emotional change becasue I was beginning to become more independent. Being able to do things myslef boosted my confidence and motivated me to try more. -
First soccer team
I started playing soccer on weekends in the summer and it improved my social and physical development. I made friends with everyone on my team and learned how to play the sport. Not only did I love going every weekend to play, I was getting the physical activity a kid needs. -
First Day of School
I started Senior Kindergarden in Ms. Henkenhaf"s class in the fall of 2001. This is a social and intellectual change because I made many new friends and started to learn new things everyday. -

Grade 8 Graduation
This is a huge intellectual change because it was the next step in my education. I was done middle school and going to high school. Life was about to get pretty intense and I needed to start thinking about what I wanted to do in the future. -
Volunteering
I began volunteering for Adapted Aquatics in the fall of 2011 at Forest Heights Pool. This was an intellectual and social change because I learned how to work with children and adults of many ages with disabilities. It also got me familiar with the facility and I got to know many of the staff who I would soon be working with. -
Got my first real job!
I got my first job with the City of Kitchener as an Assistant Aquatic Instructor. I started working at Lyle Hallman Pool that summer, then came to Forest Heights Pool in the Fall. In the Spring of 2013 I became a full Instructor/Guard. This was a social and intellectual change because having a job is having a huge responsibility. I teach kids how to swim and doing that requires the knowledge of all the skills that need to be taught, and dedication to making the lessons fun and exciting for kids.
