    Criollos such as Juan Aldama, Ignacio Allende, Miguel Hidalgo, and Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez started the conspiracy against the spanish government in josefa house. This was the cause of the independance movement.

    In september 16 1810 was the grito de dolores. This happened in a small town in dolores near Guanajuato in Mexico september 16, 1810.

    Hidalgo and his surgents marched to Guanajuato where they were stopped at Alhóndiga de Granaditas.El Pípila burned down Alhñondiga door and allowed the insurgent army to go in.

    This was the battle of the insurgents vs the spanish army which was won by the insurgents which allowed them to keep on marching to mexico city. Miguel Hidalgo did not want them to go to Mexico.

    ResistanceGuadalajara fell to the insurgents but in january 1811 the royalist troops from south caught up with the rebels. Insurgents lost the fight vs the spanish army.

    María Jose Morelos was captured this caused the army to be left out with no leader. The Insurgents lost this war this is why Maria Jose Morelos was captured.

    The plan of Iguala was presented by Agustin Iturbide to Vicente Guerrero. This plan made the join forces and they became a larger army called "Ejercito de las tres garantias".
  • Mexican Independance

    Iturbides triumphal entry into Mexico City in september 21 marked the end of the eleven years of war. Mexico became independant after signing the treaty of córdoba.
