This proclaimation did not allow colonists to settle wast of the Appalachin Moutains. the birthish governemnt feared the conflict between colonis and Native AMercianas would lead to another wear, they also could not afford to pay British troops to defend the western lansds. colonists were enraged by this proclamintaion because they felt they had won the right to settle in the Ohio River Valley after winning the French and Indaian war. -
