Causes WW1: Imperialism
The spread of European imperialism into Africa and Asia served as a fight for valuable territory. These regions were heavily contested between different nations because of the advantages in trade, wealth and indigenous resources. Because of this, whoever had control over those regions would rise in power. This contest for territory helped push the start of World War 1. -
Causes WW1: Alliances
Nations throughout Europe had treaties and alliances in between each other. This meant that if a certain nation was attacked, the nations supporting it would help fight back. Examples of alliances between different nations were France/Russia, Japan/Britain, and Germany/Austria-Hungary. -

Effects WW1: America
America became a powerhouse. Following WW1, America grew in industrial power and solidified a strong military force. America was also able to create better connections to other parts of Eurasia. This advanced technology and production of factories. The economy skyrocketed which increased inflation and forced pay reduced wages for workers. -
Effects WW1: Germany
Germany was discriminated against for being the cause of the war. Because of all the trouble they caused, the Germans were required to pay for the war. This caused Germany to lose economic and political power throughout Europe and the rest of the world. -
Consequence to WW2: Germany
After suffering from a humiliating deafest from the rest of the world, Germany was heavily discriminated against. They were forced to pay fees for the war and doped in political, social, and economic power. Because of the German desire for power, Hitler and the Nazi party began a political takeover. This political takeover spread the German imperialism into other regions such as Austria, beginning the second world war. -
Consequence to WW2: Japan and Italy
Japan, Italy, and Germany all suffered heavily from World War 1. They began to crave power and thus became a dictatorship. Branches of dictatorship that all three adopted were National Socialism and fascism. This rise in power helped themselves fight against Communism and start their increase of power. This crave for power began the second world war. -
Cause WW2: Treaty of Versailles
After the loss of world war 1 by Germany, the Germans were required to sign the Treaty of Versailles. This treaty meant that Germany was required to take responsibility for the money spent during the war and drove the economy to ruins. This resulted in desperate, hungry, and poor people. Then a politician by the name of Adolf Hitler promised them everything they didn't have, beginning world war 2. -
Causes WW2: Germany
World War 2 was started by Germany. After suffering from a bitter defeat during world war 1, Germany attacked Poland. Because of Alliances between Britain, France, and Poland, war was declared against Hitler and the Nazi party. -

Nazi leaders were tried for their crimes against the rest of the world. There were million less people of the Jewish faith because of the Holocaust. USA became a superpower nation. More power for the USA (industrialization, spread of imperialism, economic power, social power). -
Effects WW2: Political
Europe became very divided. Germany especially broke up into 4 pieces. The United States of America and USSR became political superpowers during the 20th century. This also lead to the cold war. Japan was placed under the rule of the United States of America because of the war crimes. Justice was served to military leaders of Japan, Germany, and the Nazi party.
