The Black Plague
The Black Plague struck Europe in the 14th century. The plague was originaly spread by rats and then transferred to humans. It was estimated that 25 million people, or 30–60% of the European population was killed during the Black Plague. -

The Renaissance
The Renaissance started shortly after the Black Plague ended. The word Renaissance means to be born again. Meaning that the Renaissance was a new beginning for Europe and everyone effected by the Black Plague. -
