getting turtles
Me and my mom went to the city to visit a friend of hers to pick something up (never knew what). The friend told us all about her animals she had in her house and how her kids don't really mind the animals which really sucked. I was fascinated with the turtles they had, not only that she also had many birds but I didn't really like them because they were very loud and obnoxious. When we were about to leave she offered two of her 8 turtles to us and we graciously accepted. -
getting a lizard
I am a huge fan of reptiles and one day when we went to the mall we were buying clothes for the summer/fall season and I remembered I had to buy food for my turtles so when we were done shopping we went to the pet smart near the danbury mall. when we were there I saw these cute little geckos called leopard geckos and I got to see the babies. I fell in love with them and begged my dad if we could get one and after a bit of asking we got him and all the accessories needed and brought him home. -
biking home incident
I was returning home from biking to the middle school and we were at North Brewster when all of a sudden I bike over a small hole and fell off my bike, when I got up my knee was fully bleeding which was really inconvenient because I was on the side of the road. All I could do was go to a person's house that I knew and ask for a bandage or something. It was really tough because it was bleeding a lot and the bandage made it really annoying to bike on but I eventually got home all good. -
building a computer
With COVID hitting, I wanted a way to connect with my friends and talk with them more. I called up one of them to see what advice they could give me when building a pc, and they gave me many useful tips and even offered to help me build it since he had some experience. we picked out parts of my pc and went and bought them, and then got to work. It took a long time to build it but when we did it turned out great. I remember my mom being terrified that something bad was gonna happen but never did. -
going to paraguay
I had the privilege to go to paraguay over the summer to get to know my extended family. 95% of my family all live in paraguay so I never got to see my family ever and only on facetime. So when I had the chance to go I went. The flight was roughly 9 hours and we had to stop at columbia and then after an hour we hoped back on and went. When I landed my uncle was there to greet me and I was relieved to see them. I always heard stories of all of them and then got to meet them. -
iguacu waterfall
The waterfall of iguacu is this massive waterfall in Brazil much bigger than niagara falls and it was absolutely stunning. I went there with my family in Paraguay and got to cross the border into Brazil. When we got close to the place there were large groups of people around and we struggled to get in but when we did we got on a bus and it drove us to the waterfall. I gotta say it was absolutely beautiful. We walked to the entrance and it was amazing, the waterfall was massive and amazing -
neighbor passing away
In our neighborhood there are many high schoolers and we basically grew up together, we also had this neighbor who everyone cherished because she was kind of like a grandmother to us all. Whenever we had problems we all went to her to get advice and she's always been there for us. But unfortunately she was diagnosed with cancer a while ago but she's always kept it hidden from us. we suspected that she had some sort of problem and it was really sad when she passed. -
making pesto sauce
I make a pretty killer pesto sauce. I love pesto sauce and I always wanted to learn how to make homemade sauce, so I asked my dad one day and he showed me how. He even bought a basil plant to make it as fresh as can be, after a few times of making the sauce I became a pro. I loved making pesto sauce and I really like to cook. -
playing national anthem at baseball game
The school band went to play at a mets game and at first I was reluctant because I have stage fright and things like that scare me but I signed up anyway because a friend of mine wanted me to. We practiced a lot and when the day came we all hopped into a bus and went. When we got there it was super crowded and we had to get on a line where all the performers were. Then after 15 minutes or so we went onto the field and played great and It was a great succes. -
learning guitar
My dad always told me how cool it would be if I got a guitar or drums. I never really thought about it until I had more free time on my hands and some friends of mine telling me how cool it is to play. So I bought an electric guitar and started taking lessons. I started off pretty good learning basic notes and songs. My teacher was really good and he helped me enjoy the instrument. I became pretty solid and learned many songs such as viva la vida, a few frank ocean songs and more.
