GLOBALIZATION(expansion of economic, political,& cultural processes to point when are global in scale/impact) is here b/c fishing industry is one of largest in world. Flight from Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City
Our flight departs at 11:40am and the flight number is "Quantas Airways 359." We will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam at 8:25pm and the total flight time is 8 hours and 40 minutes. -

After leaving the airport, we will walk to the hotel (Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel). -
Cab from Hotel to the "Bush" (Nature Trail)
We will take a cab at 9:48am - 10:13am to the Hermitage Fourshore Track where we will begin our nature hike. -
Sydney Challenge
We will go on a buch hike from 10:08am-11:05am. The LANDCAPE(appearence of area) is one that is made a peaceful place for aussies to hike after a bbq meal. Tradition is part of FOLK CULTURE(cultural traits, traditions, of usually small tradition communities) in Australia. But a major issue about "bush" hikes is the swarm of gnats that follows-causes the purchase of a hat, an example of ENVIROMENTAL DETERMINISM(view that natural enviroment has a controlling influence over aspects of human life). -

We leave our hike at 11:05am and head to the hotel at 11:30am for checkout. -

First Flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Venice
We depart at 11:05am on our first flight to our layover in Dubai and we will arrive in Dubai at 7:00pm. The flight number is "Emirates 393." -
Second Flight from Dubai to Venice
After our layover, we depart on flight number "Emirates 135" at 11:20pm and land in Venice, Italy at 5:55am on April 5th and we will sleep on the plane. -
Cab Ride to Rice Paddies
We wake up at 9:00am and head to our Vietnam challenge. It takes us 4 minutes to get there and we will arrive at 9:04am. -
Vietnam Challenge
We will be learning about the cultivation of rice, a staple food in Vietnamese CULTURE(the behaviors and characteristics of a particular group), while exploring the CULTURAL LANDSCAPE(the visible imprint of human activity and culture on the landscape). As well as discovering the farming ACTIVITY SPACE(The space within which dailty activity occurs) and interacting with the local farmers. -

When we complete the Vietnam Challenge at 10:34am and arrive at the hotel at 10:38am. -

We then take a taxi to the airport at 10:45am and arrive at the airport at 11:05am. -
Layover in Dubai
We have a 4 hour and 20 minute layover in Dubai and we depart at 11:20pm. -

Next we will drive to the Westin Europa & Regina Hotel at 5:55am and arrive at the hotel at 6:15am. -

Italy Challenge
At 10:25am we venture out into the Vecchia Murano, which is a famous murano glass factory which was the HEARTH(The area where an idea or cultural trait originates) of the technique for making smooth glass. This technique was then DIFFUSED(the movement of ideas, notions, and innovations) through HIERARCHICAL DIFFUSION(a form of diffusion in which an idea or innovation spreads by from the upper class to the lower class). -
Walk from Hotel to Vecchia Murano
We leave the hotel at 10:15 and walk for 10 minutes until we reach the Vecchia Murano Glass Factory to start our Italy Challenge. -
Walk from Vecchia Murano to Hotel
After we complete our Italy Challenge, we will then walk back to the hotel at 12:45pm to rest and take a break for 2 hours. -
Walk from Hotel to Papier Mache Laboratorio
At 2:45 we exit the hotel and walk for 15 minutes to the papier mache Laboratorio di Artigianato Artistico, which is a paper mache mask workshop. -
Papier Mache - Laboratorio di Artigianato Artistico
We arrive at the paper mache workshop at 3:00pm and learn from a skilled craftsman how to make paper mache masks, which are used in tradiitional Venetian Carnivals. -
Walk from Papier Mache to Hotel
At 7:00pm we begin to walk back to the hotel and we arrive at 7:15pm. After many days of traveling, we decide to go to sleep early to get more rest. -
Flight from Venice to London
We depart at 10:20am on flight number "British Airways 2585." The flight total flight time is 2 hours and 10 minutes and we land at 12:30pm. -

Shopping and eating has got us tired, so we head back to our hotel to rest until tomorrow at 9:00pm and arrive at the hotel at 10:00pm. -

We leave the hotel at 12:00pm and head to the United Kingdom Challenge at The Sanderson Hotel where we arrive at 12:15pm. -

We leave tea time at 2:00pm and arrive back at the hotel at 2:15pm and we take a break at the hotel for 3 hours. -
Meet and Greet
We get to the the restaurant Old Swan at 5:30 and meet lots of new people, as the British typically do after work. By 8:30pm we decide to head back to the hotel. -

We're leaving at 5:15pm to go have dinner at a restaurant and try to meet local British people. -

At 8:30pm we take a cab back to the hotel and arrive at 8:45pm. -
United Kingdom(England) Challenge
Our England Challenge is to have the traditional tea time in The Sanderson Hotel. The COMMODIFICATION(The process through which something is given monetary value) of tea in England began long ago and it became a CUSTOM(Practice routinely followed by a group of people) to have tea time in the CULTURE REALM(An entire region throughout which a culture prevails) of England. -
Flight from London to Miami
We take our last flight back to Miami, FL on flight number "Delta 4386," departing at 2:00am and landing 12:00pm. -
Checkout of Hotel
At 12:00am we checkout of the hotel and prepare for our last flight. -
Breakfast at the Airport
At 1:18am we have a really early breakfast to fill our stomachs for the plane flight ahead. -

At 1:45am we quickly buy extra snacks for the airplane. -
