  • Becoming Friends with My Cousin

    Becoming Friends with My Cousin
Living across the street from each other my cousin, Erika, and I had a chance to become friends. On the first day of school we got on and off the bus together, talking the whole time about our first day of high school. Everyday after school we would walk to her house, have snacks, and talk about our day. She has always been my friend since then. Now, we are unseperable.

  • Homeschool

Because of personal reasons, I left school to be homeschooled the second semester of my freshman year. This was fun at first, not having to wake up, but then I got bored without any friends to hang out with during the day. Also, being homeschooled had it's reprecussions when I decided to go back to Etowah. I had to make up all the credits that I missed second semester. To be able to graduate on time, I spent countless hours after school in Apex and in Summer school.

On the first day of Sophomore year, Cloe and I realized that we had almost the exact same schedule. Therefore, by circumstance, we became friends. We suffered together through a few days of AP World History before we both dropped the class. She has seen me through thick and thin and still remains my friend today.

    Graduation
It's hard to believe that I am graduating. It's surreal. But I am ready for high school to end. I have definitely seen myself change and grow as a person.
