Initiation-The Conspiracy of Queretero
This conspiracy was established and was known as "literary club," the plan was to get rid of the Spanish from ruling and controling Mexico as they have been doing in the past. Many important characters were part of this movement including Josefa Ortiz de Domíngues and Ignacio Allende, they were the ones who planed the date of the uprising (Dec 8, 1810) and later informed the audiencia in Mexico City. As this was happening the Spanish were also on there feet trying to figure everything out. -

Initiation-Epigmenio González
Epigmenio González got arrested for telling people about the conspiracy, because of his actions warned the audiencia about it and soldiers were sent immediately to Gonzalez's house. This caused lots of problems because know the people knew all about what was being planned and how they were planning to get rid of the Spanish and gain there independence. Later Miguel Hidalgo was involved and things began to move along. -
Initiation-Cry of Dolores
Due to the fact that people now knew everything about the conspiracy people need to act upon it as fast as possible. Because of this Miguel Hidalgo rang the bells for everybody to go to the church and listen to what he had to say. His speech prepared everybody specially the rebels, they needed to be ready for what was coming next. Soon enough this was the beginning of the independence movement. -
Initiation-Alhóndiga de Granaditas
In this time people started to gather up and prepare themselves for war, they started to gather up there armies and the rebels were getting close to Guanajuato. Riaño gathered his army in the Alohóndiga de Granaditas and placed the indians strategically to prepare for war. There were many fights and many people getting killed, but he was a hero; El Pípila. -
Initiation-Battle of Monte de las Cruces
The battle had begun, men and women started to fight against the insurgents, joining forces with Trujillo. As the battle started they had a very strong and well trained army for them to fight. At the end of the day three assaults happened and they were running out of ideas. -
Initiation-Battle of Calderón Bridge
After all of the battles and the attacks that had been happening, Calleja began to attack the rebels, he had a plan and he had his army divided up so that they would attack them form everywhere. The fighting continued, later the Spanish threw a cannonball toward the rebel causing them to move fast and run everywhere. Finally as Hidalgo was looking for a place to escape he was later executed. -
Consolidation-The Execution of Miguel Hidalgo
After all of the battles and fights that had been happening, the rebels were suffering from all of the very organized armies, they were looking for a place were they could escape. They decided to go to Texas and try to find help and resources that they needed like guns and weapons for any future encounter. Unfortunately this did not go as planned Hidalgo and Allende were fusilladed and there head were hung in the Alhóndiga de Granaditas were they still are today. -
Resisitance-The Execution of José María Morelos
The fighting was still going on and Morelos was a great leader and had a great army by his side, they were always trying to be ahead of the Spaniards even though they were outnumbered. Everybody was still on the move and they were looking for a way to escort them. But that didn't last long, Morelos was captured and and was sent in chains to Mexico City were he was later executed. -
Consummation-Plan de Iguala
All of this happened when the Viceroy Apodaca resigned, people were becoming aware of all of the successes that happened. One of them being the idea that Mexico got it's independence when the treaty was signed and the New Spain when down. -
Consummation- Independence
Finally Mexico gained it's independence, after signing the treaty Iturbide came into place. Iturbide was looking at how he would organize all of the things to have the most benefit. As his first action he opened the doors of the Cathedral in Mexico City and received and award. Mexico was Finally Free from the Spaniards.
