    The Freedom of the Press is the right of newspapers and other public media to publish articles believed to be accurate. This was established because John Peter Zenger wrote some negaitve things about of the governer and was arrested. They released him because his statements were true and then the Freedom of the Press was established.

    The proclamation happened because the British and Native Americans would get in conflicts over the land the French gave them. The British that this would pen against the Alantic seaboard. They felt a strong resentment to the native americans because what was there prize was taken away from them.

  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    In 1773, Parliament opened up old wounds when it passed the Tea Act. Tea was very popular in the colonies, but much of it was smuggled in from Holland. The Tea Act gave the British East India Company control over the American tea trade.

    Patriots raided the British merchant ships and dumped 342 chests of tea overboard, In response, Psrliament passed "Intolerable Acts." One act closed Boston's port to most shipping. Another took away many of Massachusett's ights to self-rule. In response, colonists held the first Continental Congress, at which represantatives from all the colonies expect Georgia agreed not to buy British goods.
