The Medici family was a family of bankers who flourished in Florence, Italy. They founded the Medici Bank in which they prospered mainly through being partons. Gutenberg Press
A german book maker, Johannes Gutenberg, who is credited as the inventor of the Gutenburg Press. The Gutenberg Press revolutionized the world by printing 1,000's of pages instead of 40-50 pages a day. Leonardo Da Vinci
Leonardo Da Vinci was born in 1452. He was a succesful Renaissance man which included being an inventor, artist, and scientist. An Italian renaissance man who was born in 1475. He was known as a sculpture, architect, and painter. Christopher Columbus
An Italian explorer who is credited for discovering North America (even though Leif Ericsson discovered it first). He had Three ships called the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. He was searching for a quicker route to the Indies and that's when he stumble upon North America. Nicolaus Copernicus
A polish astronomer who was born in 1473. He wrote two books about his works and theories, one which was banned by the church. Henry the VIII
He was born an English Prince in 1491. Became King of England after his father died in 1509. He is most famous for separating from the Catholic Church and becoming the Head of the Church of England. This came about after the Catholic Church wouldn't allow him to marry his brother's wife (she was previously married). Galileo Galilei was born
An Italian philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician who was deemed a heretic of the Catholic Church for his belief in Heliocentric Theory (like Nicolaus Copernicus).
