Refugees will boost the economy in several ways.First of all the local economy will develop because the refugees will buy things from local shops.There will be more students in schools and the population will increase.To sum up businesses will be reinforced by the refugees who will work there. -
The number of people that can be successfully integrated
Since the population of our town is about 50,000 residents with the proper organization, we could successfully integrate 500 regufees in our city. -
Accommodation
In the beggining it will be difficult to find places for the refugees to live.First of all ,we can use the abandoned houses of Kozani as a temporary asylum.Subsequently,we can ask from the mayor money that can be used to build new houses.If this can't happen ,we can organize a charity event that people can offer money to find the appropriate accommodationfor the refugees. -
The kind of entrepreneurship that can be developed
The residents of our town can help the refugees adjust to their new city by teaching them how to do their new job. Also refugees can work in a factory or in a company in which people are needed.For example, every year a high amount of workers collect safran.Kozani is known for the safran and this is because we need a lot of people to work. -
The ways our school can help
My school can encourage the students and their family to help economically or by donating food,toys and clothes.In addition, a high percentage of the refugees children may not know the Greek language well.Our school can help them adjust to the new environment ,try to teach them the language and how to communicate with other people in the daily life.
