The Fall of Rome
Rome couldn't get it's empire under control. So they divided the empire into Western and Eastern Rome, to make it easier. But, Germans invaded Western Rome and fell into a foreign enemy. Other Emperors tried to reconquer the West, but failed. -

Gun Powder
The Chinese invented gun powder in 700 AD. They combined sulphur, carbon, and saltpeter. The chinese used the gunpowder for fireworks, but was later used for guns. -

Byzantine Emperor ,Alexios I Komnenos, came to the Pope Uban II for his pemison to take any volunteers to start an army He wanted to stop the Seljuk Terks from invading Anatolia. He also wanted to take back the "Holy Land" Jerusalem. During the Crasade, Knights and peasants traveled to the Constantinople and Jerusalem. -

The Second Crusade
The second Crusade started in Europe. It was led by Louis VII of France and Conrad III of Germany. Pope Eugene III announced this crusade because the country of Edessa fell. This was the first crusade led by European kings. It was a great fail for the Crusade, but a victory for the Muslims. -

The Magna Carta
The Magna Carta was granted and enforced. King John of England was told by his sibjects to limit his powers and proclaim certain liberties. The Magna Carta influenced the Untied States Constitution.
