During this period, the US was focused on what consumers wanted and producing the goods and services that would be successful.

- Today, we use things such as ads, commercials, and billboards to market our goods.
- Today, we are focused not only on what consumers want, but also the quality of the goods. -
The Global Era
During this time, consumers and producers had to learn how to adapt to new technology such as computers and smartphones.

- Back then, phones were invented. Today, we have long emails, twitter, facebook, and all different kinds of social media to help expand a business
- We have also improved business since then by using less paper. Today, we do most things online which is better for the environment also. -
The Information Era
This era was known as the shift between traditional industry and a economy based upon technology.
Ways we have improved the way people do business now compared with this era:
- Even small businesses can now create their products online, such as a t-shirt outline. They can make all of their products using the latest technology, which couldn't have been done in the Information Era.
- Businesses can research, shop, travel, market, and find employment all using the internet.
