Brown v Board of Education
Brown v Board of Education was a landmark Supreme Court case in 1954. It states, racial segregation of children in public schools was unconstitutional and non equal. Brown v Board was apart of the civil rights movement and ensures individuals are being accepted in all areas of society. -
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act
The ESE Act was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson on April 11, 1965. The accentuation of the law allows equal access to education and reduces the achievement gaps between students by delivering children with equal opportunities to achieve and exceptional education. -
The Rehabilitation Act
The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 was effective on September 26, 1973. Schools that receives federal funding does prohibit discrimination. They protect all individuals with a disability, no child should be isolated. Reasonable modifications and accommodations can be made so that the child is able to have the same equal opportunities just like his or her peers. -
Education for all Handicapped Children Act
The Education for All Handicapped Children Act was signed into law by President Gerald Ford on November 30, 1975. It allows equal rights and opportunity for children with disability to have equal access to education as well as free meals. -
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act are given equal public education to meet their individual standards. Their was a time, many children were rejected entry into a public school and placed in segregated classrooms away from the non disabled children. IDEA ensures that each child must be placed in a less restrictive environment for the best growth and education.

Giving Angels Fondation
Giving Angels Foundation Board of Directors is a 501(c)(3) with a 100% volunteer board. They offer assistance to Special Needs children with a physical disability in low-income families throughout the United States. This foundation enhances learning for a child with special needs by providing items such as Computers, Ipads, School Tuition and many other benefits. -
No Child Left Behind Act
No child left Behind Act offers several education programs that are provided by the state. It was signed into law by President George W. Bush on January 8, 2002. All public schools receiving federal funds are required to take the standardized test to ensure that each child are meeting the needs, This Act focuses on making sure each child progresses throughout their education.

Public law 108-446: IDEA 2004
On December 3, 2004, President Bush signed the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Improvement Act.(P.L. 108-446), a major re authorization and revision of IDEA. The new law preserves the basic structure and civil rights guarantees of IDEA
but also makes significant changes in the law.
