He was a Spanish explorer. He set sail with a fleet from Jamaica to the Gulf of Mexico. He'd been sent to explore the land between Florida and Mexico. His settlers were killed by Indians. He was the first to map the Gulf of Mexico. Spanish controlled Florida and Mexico. He went back to get supplies. -

He was in the Narvis expedition. -

He founded the colony of New Mexico. He left Mexico with his wife and children January of 1598. He was a conquistador . He was Spanish. He was an explorer. He encountered many Indian tribes. In 1595 he was granted a request by King Philip to colonize new Spain. -
La Salle
He established fort St. Louis in 1686. He is from France. He claimed the land from Louisiana to Canada. The Expedition started summer of 1684. It had four ships and 300 soldiers when it arrived. He named Louisiana after his king. He met Indians. -
