Word Processor
The word processor was invented by Evelyn Berezin.
A word processor is a software program that can type and store documents. This was much easier than using carbon copy paper to make copies as you typed. Now we can store and type hundreds and thousands of documents on our home and business computers. Typewriters are a thing of the past.

Atari
In 1972 the invention of Atari and the release of Pong, the first video game happened. The Atari was invented by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney.
The name Atari is a Japanese term that means “Hit the target”. It was manufactured as a video arcade game and made way for the computer games we now enjoy in our own homes.

Cell Phone
On April 3, 1973, Martin Cooper led the group that invented the first cell phone. The phone was large and shaped like a brick and weighed 2.4 pounds. It took 10 hours to charge, and talk time was only 30 minutes. Microsoft Computer
In the 1970’s, personal computers did not exist. Bill Gates and Paul Allen invented a microcomputer and by so doing formed Microsoft. Before this happened, computers were huge, and needed a lot of people to run them. Now with computers becoming smaller, the common person can have and operate a computer in their homes.

Digital Camera
The first digital camera was invented by Steve Sasson, who worked for Kodak.
A digital camera is a hardware device that takes photographs and stores the image as data on a memory card using pixels. They are much smaller than cameras of the past that had numerous lenses and film that had to be sent out for processing. Now digital cameras are small and can be carried in your pocket. Some can record video in addition to taking photos.
