The IBM 9345 hard disk drive invented by Reynold B. Johnson
was the first hard disk drive to use magneto-resistive heads. The early models could hold 1 gb HDAs. -

Manufactured by Sandisk (named as Sundisk at the time) the SSD module used non-volatile memory and was made to replace spinning disks. The most important feature was that it was lighter than hard drive disks. -
