Technology in the 90's

Webcam was created

1991

The first webcam was created so you could take videos from your computer. This has helped the technology world a lot due to bringing the idea of having cameras into the newer computers so we can take pictures and videos. This was created at Cambridge University and invented by James Quentin and Paul Jardetsky.

Java Programming Language was created

1995

Java Script made it easy for programmers to create websites and other software by using code. This enhanced our lives going forward because we now know what it takes to create a software and be able to create it more efficiently.

Kodak Digital Camera was released.

1995

This was a very big thing that happened because people wanted to be able to take photos of their lives and this made it a lot easier to be able to get photos downloaded faster and better quality. This camera was invented by George Eastman.

The first iMac computer was invented.

1998

This was the year that Apple made its huge desktop product. From this computer and going forward Apple computers and products have been a very big thing, so this was the year it was all created. Steve Jobs was the creator of this desktop computer.

Bluetooth 1.0 was created

1999

Mobile wireless sharing has not been done before; little did they know how big it would eventually become. During the '90s people were sharing files by connecting cables and other wires or file searching, now with Bluetooth connection they were able to share files and wireless headsets even became a thing because of Bluetooth. Dr. Jaap Haartsen was the Swedish man who created the Bluetooth connection.
