     BASIC
    A Programming language invented in 1963. Stands for Beginners All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. Created by John George Kemeny and Tom Kurtzas as a tool to teach undergraduates. It was the most widely known computer language among developers and it helped people use computers in business and academia.
  • Computer Mouse

    Computer Mouse
    Invented in 1964 by Douglas C. Engelbart. A device that allows people to control the cursor on a computer interface. It also makes computers easier to use and helps navigate computers. While the design has changed a bit it's still widely used today with almost every computer requiring one to navigate between different apps or functions.

    Handheld Calculator
    The Handheld Calculator was made in 1967 by Texas Instruments. It ran on batteries and helped people with basic math equations. They were used to add, subtract, divide, and multiply. It also had memory so you can store numbers in it for later. This made things a lot easier so you can do calculations a lot faster and without pen and paper.

    DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory)
    DRAM was also created in 1967 by Robert Heath Dennard. This was used to store data and information on computers. Which later can be saved to the hard drive. It's the most common type of RAM in computers and helped pave the way for the microcomputer revolution. As well as gaining improvement in computer memory density.

    Video Game Console
    The video game console was created around 1968 by Ralph Baer. It allowed people to play games right at home on their television rather than going to an arcade to play games. He had a shooter game on the "The Brown Box" which let people play a target shooter game and he had other multiplayer games so people could compete against each other. It paved the way for modern video games today.
