Colonel Numeiry and Major-General Lagu sign a peace treaty to end the war. -
Internal Turmoil
Hussein alHindi and Sadik al-Mahdi brought 2,000 heavily armed citizens to Khartoum and Omdurman. The attack immobilized Sudan's Air Force from the ground.
