Once the oil in North Sudan was sold, Nemiri had decided to also take the oil from the south when the south didn't know what to do with it. So the south just took it. Omar Al-Bashir became president of sudan which he was a lieutenant General. Also he was the head of the National Congress party. During his presidency the had some struggles with the Janjaweed militia and rebel groups like the sudanese liberation army/ movement. -

This event was caused by human right abuse and the gov had to blame the rebels. So the civilians had to fight for their rights back. -
