In 1517 MartinLuther began to question the teachings of the Cathiolic Church. In October of 1517 Luther posted the 95 theses on the door of the Wittenberg church. I f he wouldnt have done that Luther wouldnt have began his own church known as Luthernism. -

KIng Henry VII's Divorce
Queen Catherine has two more miscarriages before she finally has a girl named Mary. King Henry was mad that it wasnt a boy and blamed Catherine. So he tried divorcing her but the Catholic Church wouldnt allow it so he sepreated fromt he Catholic Church and formed the Church of England. This is important because without the divorce, he wouldnt have made the Church of England. -

Shorly after posting the 95 theses the pope demanded Luther to recant them. After Luther refused he was excommunicated from the Catholic Church. If Luther wouldnt have been cut off from the church he wouldnt have began his own church. -

Jaun Ponce de Leon was the first conquistadr to explore modern day United States. He walked on South and Central Florida. This is important because he helped encourage exploration of the U.S. and he discovered Florida. -

In 1540 , Coranado led a major spanish expedition up Mexico's western coast and into the region that is now the south-western Unites Staes. Even though the explorers found no treasure , they did discover the Grand Canyon. This is important because the GRand Canyon is a huge part of America's land marks and gets over 2 million visitors per year. -

In 1775 Benjamin Franklin created a plan for the 13 British colonies to form an alliance with each other to defeat the French and Indians. He believed if each colony put many together they'd be successful but the colonists wanted to stay "independent". This is important because it had an infulence throughout the war. -
General Braddock Killed
General Braddock lead his troops to attaclk Ft.Dequesne in June of 1755 . He was told to adopt tatics used by the Natives. Braddock believed the atives were cowards and had no hope of beating the British. On June 9th , 1755 Braddock and his troops werre attacked by Natives before they could reach the fort. Gen. Braddock was killed. This is important because it hellped construct our nations history. -

There were 4 sides involved in the 1763 Treaty of Paris; France, England, Spain and The Indians. The treaty gave all 4 some land to make things fair.The Indians though lost their land and was mistreated by the colonists. This is important becuse the treaty finally ended the war. -
The Stamp Act
The stamp act was passed by [arliment on MArch 22, 1765 It required all American colonists to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used - paper, legal documents, licenses, news papers, playing cards-. This angerd the colonists so the boycotted. The stamp act was replaced in 1766. -
Boston Massacre
A civil argument broke out between Patriots and British soldiers . It grew into a harrassment with the Patriots throwing sticks and snowballs. A club was hurled at Montgomery then the real fight broke out. -
Gaspee Affair
A British ship (Gaspee) patrolled the coast for smugglers. The captain and crew were allowed to search the ships withoutt a search warrant. In 1772, 150 New England colonists burned down the ship and colonial suspects were taken to England and trial. This is important because this was illegal and against the law. -
Boston Tea Party
When parlimant placed a tax on tea in 1773, colonists got mad. So on December 16, 1773, the sons of liberty dressed as Indians and dumped all the tea on the ships into the Boston Harbor. This made a big spot in American history and made the colonists realize they didnt need a leader. -

Battle of Gettysburg
Through July 1-3 General Robert E.Lee led offensive attacks in Pennysalvaia. On the 3rd day of fighting, Gen. Pickett attacked the ridge but union forced confederacy to retreat. The union held victory! This is important beacause it was the turning point of the Civil War. -
Assassination of Lincoln
On April 14, 1865 President Lincoln was assassinated by a famous actor and confederate sympathizer, John Wilkes Booth. John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln in the head with a .44 caliber. After rambling and stabbing a young army officer ( Henry Rathbone) he jumped off the stage, broke his leg, and got away. This is important because it had a big effect on American History.
