Esteban did return with a priest named Fray Marcos. He was to find news of any wealthy northern cities. Fray Marcos reported seeing a beautiful golden city. -

Coronado was on a search for the Seven Golden Cities. He explored 5 states looking for them. He explored North Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, and Okalahoma. He discovered Palo Duro and Arizona's Grand Canyon. He reported the Spanish to not go to Texas because it offered no gold or anything in interests. -
