    Columbus was looking for a shorter/quicker route to Asia. Columbus found small amounts of gold. He found native birds and plants to show the richness of the continent/New world. Columbus also took native americans of about 24 to spain.This is important because it could have triggered more exploration in North America, and he found North America.

    The leader of DeVaca was Narveaz and the purpose of the expedition was to claim the territory from Florida to Mexico for Spain.

    DeVaca Discovers Texas

    The way he discovered Texas was DeVaca and his men shipwrecked off the coast of Texas. They built themselves their own boats and made their way to Texas. They came across the Karankawa and Coahuiltecan indian tribes.

    To explore/find the seven cities of Cibola. Esteban ran away and left clues. Fray Marcos report was that he hustled along through many towns. He was stopped right before he was about to step foot in Cibola.

    Hernando De Soto was the leader of the expeition. De Soto died from a fever at the Mississippi River. They discovered gold and other riches from the native peoples of the North American continent.
