    He discovered Texas by getting caught in a storm and was washed ashore onto Galveston Island which he called Malhaldo which means misfortune.He lived there for four years and met the Karankawa Indians.

    The original leader was DeSoto and he wore gold armor which made the indians think he was a god & when he died they threw him into the Mississippi River. When, Moscoso reported back to the King and Queen he backed up Coronado and said it was horrible which made it so there would be no major expedition

    Coronado searched for Cibola and Quivara. While, he was searching for Quivara he had a guide known as "The Turk". When, they got to Quivara it was just an adobe village and Turk was forced to dig his own grave and was choked to death. Later, Coronado reported that Texas's land had nothing to offer.
