He find Texas by getting in a shipwreck on a sandy island off the coast of Texas. Starving, dehydrated, and desperate. He is the first European to set foot on the land of the future Lone Star state. He was there for 6 years he also met the Karankawas. -

The leader was Alvarado. Alvarado reported that there is no resources or gold causing no one to go to Texas for 150 years. -

The cities Coronado searched for was the 7 cities of gold. His guide was Quivera. What happened to his guide was he died. He discovered 5 states. The importance of his journey was that when other explorers were getting ready to explore Texas but Coronado stopped them and told them that there was nothing valuable there. -
Fray and Esteban's Journey
