Cabexa De Vaca was second in command of an expidition that was heading to Florida and that was leaded by Panfilo de Narváez. Panfilo wanted to claim the land of Florida to Mexico for Spain. -

DeVaca discovers Texas
DeVaca was shipwrecked on an island that is now Galveston. He is the first European to step foot in Texas. They where there until 1535. He had 300 men with him then left with 3 men. -
