In October 12, 1492 Christopher Columbus sailed in search of Asia. When he found land he thought it was Asia but it was actually the Americas. His discovery was so great because he also found gold and discovered the "New World". -

Cabeza de Vaca Exploration
De Vacas group got separated from the rest after they saw land and his group went after the lost boat. When they finally arrived they met the Karankawas and many of them died including the Indians.After Cabeza de Vaca's leader died and most of the crew had also died only he and 4 other member had survived. After that he lived among the Indians for 6 years and became a medicine man. Although he did not mean to when he was exploring the land he followed Pinedas map. -

After Cabeza de Vaca left he decided he wanted to look for the 7 cities of Cibola after Cabeza de Vaca's claim along with Fray Marcos. While they are in search of them Esteban wants to become a medicine man amongst the Indians but when he arrives in one of the villages he demands everything and unfortunately the Indians kill him. -
