Plastic toy invented by Victor Petrusek, manufactured by Tiger Toys, with a hoop that you put around your ankle with a rotating ball at the end of a line that you skipped with your other leg as it went around. The ball kept track of how many skips you had. It only had the ability to go to 999, you could reset the counter. -

The first Skip-It toys only included a few different colors and had one basic design: The simple plastic ring with plastic line attached to the skipping ball, with a black rubber tread and a skip count recorder. -

New Models released- New models included ribbons, new colors, beads, sound, etc. There were even retractable Skip-Its. This is about $19.99 at Target. -
Twister Rave Skip It Introduced
New light up skip it introduced. Lights up when spun. -
Decline
Skip Its are no longer as popular anymore due to new technology such as Nintendo DS, etc. Kids were no longer as interested in going outside and playing.
