In the '70s there was alot of skateboarding contest. This took development to the sport we know today. Frank Nasworhty started the company Cadillac wheels in 1972. -

In the '80s skateboarding began to influence the clothing, music and culture. It began to grow really big. alot of people started to build their own ramps. -

The first public skate park opened in '90s in NYC. -

2000
since 2000, skateboarding has become more mainstream. More money has been put into skateboarding. Theres been alot of companies that have supported the skaters. -
Skateboards
Skateboards come in a very big variety. You can choose what design you want under your board and you can ge a pictre on your wheels. You can choose different types of skateboards. It's not all skateboards that you can do tricks on.
