The first microprocessor, or central processing unit (CPU) was invented by Marcian Hoff, Federico Faggin, Masatoshi Shima, and Stanley Mazor. In which numbers of peripherals' are fabricated on a single chip. It has ALU (arithmetic and logic unit), a control unit, registers, bus systems and a clock to perform computational tasks. This was an important invention because it helped to make computer devices able to have more components available then the past computers. -
The Floppy Disk
The floppy disk, a removable magnetic storage medium, was invented by IBM engineers led by Alan Shugart. It was important because it was one of the first simple ways to share information between computers. -
The First Personal Computer (PC)
Henry Edward Roberts invented the first PC, and it is important because it was a computer that was feasible for individual use. You could say that this started to pave a way for the modern laptop to come out. -
The World Wide Web
The World Wide Web (WWW), or internet, was invented by Tim Berners-Lee, and it was originally invented so that scientists and researchers could share their information from all around the world. This was a very significant invention because it would go on to shape modern life in many different aspects.
