  • Born

I was born March 14th (Pi-Day!) in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri, but moved to Arkansas shortly after where I have spent the past 18 years growing up
  • Brothers

    Brothers
We met our good family friends the Obrien's when Ben (their oldest) and I were only 3months old. Ben's younger brother was born a year later and then my baby bother was born a year after that. While we grew up in our own households with our own parents, these boys have become my brothers, and have definitely made a huge impact on my life
  • Period: to

    Homeschooled

I was homeschooled for a brief period after my mom was cleared after being sick. It was a very different experience than form being in the public school system, and opened my eyes to another way of teaching.
  • Period: to

    Taekwondo

I have been training in Taekwondo for 9 years and have been teachingin my school for 7 years. The time I have spent working and teaching has really impacted me as a teacher and a indivudual. I owe a lot of my teaching skills to my time learning from my instructor and working with my students.
  • Period: to

    Dawg Crew

I was lucky to be apart of a wonderful organization at my high school called Dawg Crew, where I was able to develop leadership skills, as well as volunteer for my school, and increase school spirit. Dawg Crew was in charge of planning and organizing events such as pep-rallies, tailgates, new student orientations and many more. It was definitely a high light in my school experience
  • Graduated High School

    Graduated High School
Although I never particularly enjoyed school, leaving highschool was a bitter sweet experience considering I would be leaving all of my friends back home. I definitely grew as a person from this experience though and now look back with fond memories.
  • Began school at SU

    Began school at SU
This was one major event in my life considering it would be the first time I had moved away from home and family. My time here has helped me to realize my strengths and weaknesses as a teacher and individual.
  • Met Caleb

    Met Caleb
Caleb and I met on move-in day our freshman year at SU and started dating a month later. 2 years later we are happier than ever! He is a huge supporter and motivator for me and is always pushing me to do my best and go for my dreams! He is one of the main people who helped me realize my potential and love of teaching.
  • Pledged APO

    Pledged APO
APO is the national service fraternity on campus. Since pledging I have been able to play a larger role on campus and in the community. This has been really beneficial to me as an individual to become more integrated into the Georgetown and SU community. (picture is of me and my little)
  • Changed Majors

Upon entering SU I was a Kinesiology major, and excited to be a Physical Therapist. After a very rough first year, I realized something I feel like I knew all along; I should study education and become a teacher. It was a turning point for me, and now I am happier and enjoying my classes as well as looking forward to the future!
