Short-Term Goal
S: I want to save money for a car.
M: I will save $1000
A: I will put away $50 from each paycheck
R: The opportunity cost is much better this way, then spending money on food and other stuff that I don't need.
T: I will do it by next January. -
Step One
Work more hours -
Step Two
After every paycheck, put 50+ dollars aside into my savings account. -
Step Three
Reduce spending at stores and restaurants to once or twice a month. -
Step Four
Stop spending money on wants that aren't beneficial to me. -
Step Five
Stop going out every weekend and driving everywhere, that will save money on gas. -
Long-Term Goal
S: I want to reduce my student loans
M: Reduce them by an extra $100 per month
A: By not buying things that I don't need
R: This will help in the long run, the student loans will be stressful and it will help my well-being
T: I will do this in a 5 year span -
Step One
Live with parents for a couple months-don't have to spend money on rent -
Step Two
Find deals and sales instead of buying designer clothes -
Step Three
Get a steady, full time job -
Step Four
Find a good apartment with a good price. -
Step Five
Limit going out with friends and spending unnecessary money.
