First Money Experience
I learned about money in school and how people use it. I also watched my parents spend it. -
Learning about Money
My parents bought me a toy cash register. It helps me learn how much each type of money was worth. -
First Time Using Real Money
Sometimes my parents would give me a few dollars to play the crane machines in the stores. It was the first time that I really held money and used it. -
First Time Earning Money
I first earned money from doing chores around the house for my grandma. She paid me by the effort I put into my chores. -
Buying With Earned Money
I used the money that I first earned from doing chores to buy a portable music player. I also used the money to buy the music, music videos, books, and movies that I put onto it. -
First Medium Sized Purchase
I saved money from birthday parties, the tooth fairy, and chores to buy a battery operated barbie jeep. It was a pretty good sized purchase and it took me a while to save for it. -
Medium Sized Purchase With Earned Money
I wanted a mountain bike really badly when I was fourteen. I saved up for it for 2 years. I used the money that I earned to buy it. -
Getting My First Real Job
I got my first job at ShopKo as a cashier and apparel sales associate. This was my first time really earning money regularly. It was a big step for me with money. -
Paying For a Phone
I bought my first phone with money I earned at ShopKo. It was a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. I also pay for this phone each month at $45. -
Getting a Car
I plan on getting my license when I turn eighteen so I'll also be getting a car. I plan on getting a used car. I'll be making a large purchase and using a lot of my money that I earned from working. -
Going to College
Going to college will be a huge money spending experience for me. I plan on using money I've saved, money I got from graduation, and financial aid and scholarships if I earn them. I most likely will get a student loan as well. -
Getting an Apartment
I plan on getting an apartment to rent. I'll be paying for rent and everything that comes along with renting a place. I'll be using savings and money from working. -
Getting My Career
I plan to work as a physical therapist assistant after I earn my associate's degree. I would be making $46,844-$57,102. This will help me pay for my apartment, groceries, and needed items. -
Getting a Small Home
Getting a small home with definitely be a major purchase for me in the future. I will most likely need a loan because houses aren't very cheap these days. -
Standard Of Living
I want to live comfortably with the money I make. I want to be able to not worry about getting behind on payments of any kind. I don't want to have serious debt. I want to be able to pay for things especially things that are serious needs. -
Retirement
I plan to have a large amount of money set aside in savings for my retirement. I want to have money to live off of comfortable during my retirement. -
Death
I plan to save money for my funeral expenses so my family members won't have to worry about it. I also plan to have a will so I know where my money and purchases will go after I am no longer here. -
