Win Kindergarten "100 Days of School Poster Contest"
The "100 Days of School" poster contest in kindergarten was very important at the time. If you got above 5th place, you would win a prize and they would keep your poster in school. -
Win Spelling Bee
I already placed into the school spelling bee. I wanted to win because the winner would get a trophy and compete with other schools in the district. -
Get Into Advanced Junior High Classes
At the time we were testing to see which classes would be a best fit for us personally. I felt that I could handle advanced classes, so I hoped to test into the advanced classes. -
Get Above A 25 on the ACT
If I got above a 25 on the ACT, I would get into the Northwestern Summer Program. I wanted to do that because it would help me be more successful in High School and beyond. -
Keep 4.0 GPA
If I maintain a 4.0 unweighted GPA in high school, it would mean that I worked hard. It is also helpful when applying to colleges. -
Stay in at Least 3 Extracurricular Activities
By the beginning of November I had dropped 2 activities since freshman year. I still had 3 that I maintained since the year before, so I would like to keep those 3 through my whole high school career. -
Get All 5s on AP Tests
Junior year will be my first time taking more than one AP test and I would like to manage all of them well enought to get all 5s. This will prove that I am able to handle the work load and am ready for college courses. -
Join National Honors Society
It's hard work to be a part of this prestigious club. It will be a privelage to join it. -
Get into the UIC GPPA Program
The GPPA program is offered by UIC for those hoping to pursue a medical career. In that program, one only needs to complete 3 years of college and 4 years of medical school. -
Graduate from College
If I graduate in 2019, I will have finished college in 3 years. This will allow me to reach my goal of becoming a doctor sooner. -
Graduate Medical School in One Year
When I graduate from medical school, I will be considered and M.D. and will have helped many people while learning to practice medicine. -
Get Married
I would like to get married because I want to start my family by the time I am 30. If I get married at 25, I will be able to spend some time preparing for that family. -
Match in an Anesthesiology Residency Program
I would like to match into a good residency program, hopefully one in my top three. If I do, I will be on the right path to my dream job. I also wouldn't have to wait another year to try applying again, nor would I settle for a back-up program. Another option would be to do a year in a one-year anesthiology program and try matching into a three year program again, but that can be hard-work and nerve-wracking. -
Get an Anesthesiology Fellowship
If I were an anesthesiology fellow, I would have more experience. This leads to a better long-term job offer, which would keep myself and my family secure for life. -
Start My Family
This would be the perfect time for me to start my family. I would be offered good, secure jobs while in my fellowship, meaning I have some money, a source of income, and a better future on my horizon. -
Clinical Anesthiology Job
This job would be the secure one I would be searching for. This means I would actually have a secure job which I would spend the rest of my career working for. -
Get My First Home
I would like to get my first home when I turn 45. This is because there will be good, safe homes within my price range by this time. Additionally, I will be able to afford a home big enough for my family. -
Be Owner of a Private Practice
By this time, I will have been working for a long time. As owner, I would have more say in decisions made in th office. Also, I will have a pay raise and, working part-time while my partners are covering me, I can spend more time at home. This is because I will spend time on fewer large responsibilities. -
Support My Children
This will be a part of my life where my kids need me very much, and I will enjoy being there for them. This is because they will be concerned with school, their new jobs, and marriage. Kids will also be emminent. -
Get A Parrot
At this time, I will be retiring soon. Also, I will have more time to take care of this fun pet. -
Retirement
I think 65 is an appropriate age for me to retire. By this time, I will have few personal needs to fulfill, and will want to spend time with my family. -
Volunteer Work With Family
I would like to spend time with my family, but I want to spend that time doing something helpful and productive. I also want to positively influence my grandchildren. That's why we will all volunteer at soup kitchens, schools, and parks. -
Live in One House With My Sisters
By this time, our kids will have families of their own. So, when they visit, they can visit us all at one. That way, it will be easier to get the whole family together. Also, I would love to spend every day with them again. -
Donate 75% Of Remaining Savings to Charity
This year is significant because I will turn 75. So, it seems appropriate for me to donate 75% of my savings. Also, there are people who will need that money more than me, so it's the right thing to do.
