Lord Capulet and Count Paris talk about marrying Juliet, while Romeo learns that Rosaline is going to the Capulet party, and Benvolio recommends that they crash the party. -

Mercutio gives Romeo a speech about love, and that Romeo needs to cheer up, saying that there are many other fish in the sea, and Rosaline shouldn't be the only one to worry about. -

Scene 5
Romeo, Benvolio, and Mercutio arrive at the party. Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight, and Tybals confronts Romeo, and brings him to Lord Capulet. Lord Capulet, being the wise man he is, did not want to start trouble, and ordered Tybalt to allow him to stay. -

Act 2 Scene 1
Romeo begins searching for Juliet, and Benvolio and Mercutio are on the hunt for Romeo -

Scene 2
Romeo overhears Juliet expressing her love for him on the balcony, in which he joins in, expressing his own love for Juliet. They plan to get married the next day. -

Scene 3
Romeo confronts Friar Lawrence about their marriage. Friar Lawrence sees this as an oppurtunity to end the feuding between the two families, and agrees to marry the couple. -

Scene 4
Benvolio and Mercutio still look for Romeo to warn him that Tybalt is planning to challenge Romeo to a duel. They find Romeo, and then The Nurse finds him as well, warning him that Count Paris is going to marry Juliet. -

Scene 5
Juliet wants the Nurse to hurry with word from Romeo, and the Nurse tells Juliet that they are to be married immediately. They are then married by Friar Lawrence. -
Jan 3, 1344
Act 3 Scene 1
Benvolio and Mercutio meet Tybalt, just as Romeo arrives at the scene. Tybalt challenges Romeo, but Mercutio takes the challenge, and unfortunately dies. Romeo, then in rage, kills Tybalt, and is "spared," and only banished, rather than killed. -

The Nurse tells Juliet of her new husbands banishment, and her cousin's death at his hand. -

Scene 3
Friar Lawrence informs Romeo of his banishment, Romeo exclaims that he would rather die than be without Juliet. The Nurse then brings Romeo to see Juliet one last time. -

Romeo spends the night with Juliet, and then leaves for Mantua, Juliet is informed that she is marrying Paris on Thursday. -

Act 4 Scene 1
Paris confronts Friar Laurence about his wedding with Juliet. Juliet asks Friar Laurence for help, and he suggests a plan she can take a drug that will make her appear to be dead so that she can sneak away with Romeo. Friar Laurence sends Friar John to Mantua to tell Romeo of the plan -

Scene 2
Lord Capulet is arranging a big wedding celebration. Juliet comes back from her meeting with Friar Lawrence, and acts like she is ready for the wedding. -

Juliet drinks the drug that Friar Lawrence gave her, making her appear to be dead. -

Lord Capulet works on getting the wedding preperations ready throughout the night. Paris arrives early in the morning. -

Juliet's not-so-dead body is discovered. -

Act 5 Scene 1
Romeo learns from Balthasar that Juliet is dead, and buys a poison from an apothecary. -

Scene 2
Friar Laurence learns that Friar John was could not deliver the message to Romeo due to fear of the Plague. Friar Laurence writes another letter for Romeo and leaves for the cemetery to meet Juliet when she wakes up from her "death." -

Scene 3
Romeo gives Balthasar his suicide note and sends him off. Paris comes to the tomb as well, and fights Romeo. Romeo kills Paris, and drinks the poison he bought from the apothecary, and dies. Juliet wakes up, and Friar Lawrence tries to convince her to leave. Friar Lawrence, hearing the watchmen, leaves, and Juliet stabs herself. The watchmen then find the bodies, and everyone is awaken and brought to the tomb. Friar Lawrence, Balthasar, and the Servant explain what happened. -

Scene 3 CONTINUED
The Prince tells the two families that this is the cause of their hatred of eachother, their only children dead. Lord Capulet and Lord Montague then finally decide to end their life-long war.
