    German Unification
    Bismarck wanted isolate France and following the Ems telegram he was able to do so. France delcared war they looked like the agressor against Germany. In January 1871 the cold and starving French surrended. The declaration of a unified Germany. The final humiliation for the French was the declaration of a unified Germany at the Palace of Versailles.The new Germany was led by Wilhelm I was declared Kaiser and Otto von Bismarck Germany's first Chancellor.

    Italy's unification, which was completed in 1870, was accomplished by the leadership of Camilo Cavour and Giuseppe Garibaldi.Therefore, Italy became unified though Italian leadership and foreign help. Cavour got the last push for Italian unification started in 1858 when he made a deal with France.

    Brazilian independence

    Brazilian independence
    The Independence of Brazil comprised a series of political and military events that occurred in 1821–1824, most of which involved disputes between Brazil and Portugal regarding the call for independence presented by the Brazilian Empire. It is celebrated on September 7, the anniversary of the September 7, 1822 date regent Prince Dom Pedro declared Brazil's independence from Portugal. Formal recognition came with a treaty signed by both Brazil and Portugal in late 1825.

  • Haitian Revolution

    Haitian Revolution
    The french colony called saint domingue was the first Latin American territory to free itself from Europe rule. While the French Revolution was taking place, oppressed people in the French colony of Haiti rose up against their french masters. In 1791, 100,000 enslaved Africans rose in revolt. On January 1, 1804, General Dessalines declared the colony an independent country. It was the first black colony to free itself from Europe control.

    a Catholic priest launches the Mexican War of Independence with the issuing of his Grito de Dolores.In 1820 liberals took power in Spain and the new government promised reforms to appease the Mexican revolutionaries. Mexican conservatives called for independence as a means of maintaining their privileged position in Mexican society. On August 24, 1821 Spanish Viceroy Juan de signed the Treaty of Córdoba, which approves a plan to make Mexico an independent constitutional monarchy
