In order to set the slaves free, Toussaint agreed to help out the French army in fighting against the British and Spanish. Toussaint proved that he could do the job by winning seven battles in seven days, so Napoleon agreed to make an agreement with letting the slaves be free. -
Napoleon becomes Emperor
Napoleon was named the Emperor of France on March 18, 1801 because of his many great successes that boosted the French nationalism. -
Haiti wins Independence
Tourissant L'Oventure lead the revolt against the French, to bring Haiti to a victory, while the French was busy fighting in another battle. -
Miguel Hidalgo Inspires Revolution
To inspire the revolution, Hidalgo wrote something called "Cry of Dolores" which was to encourage the Mexicans that they could rise up to power and possibly put an end to the Spanish tyranny. -
Martin liberates Chile
To liberate Chile, Martin needed to create an army so he created an army of about 5,000 men and called them The Army of the Andes. -

Argentina became independent after the Argentine War where Manuel, Belgrano, Juan Jose Castelli and Jose de San Martin fought agains the royalists. -
Bolivar liberates Venezuela
At a national assembly Venezuela was declared independent, but that only lasted for about a year until the Spanish forces took over again. -
Bolivar liberates Colombia
Colombia was the first to be liberated out of Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. There independence only lasted for a short time span because Spain came back and took power. -
Bolivar liberates Peru
Bolivar meet up with Martin, Martin understood that Bolivar had already combined the military, political, and psychological needs to be able to beat the Spaish armys. -
Mexico Gains Independence
Miguel Hidalgo called for a war to be against the Spaniards. Mexico ended up winning the wat in 1821, but before the war was over and before Mexico gained their independence the Spanish army had killed Hidalgo. -

Ecuador was the fourth country to be liberated by Bolivar. -

Garbaldi's Red Shirts Capture Sicily
Garbaldi leads 1000 man militia into Sicily, defeats Sicily and Naples, and turns the land over to Sardinia, once he unifies everyone, he gave the throne over to Victor Emmanuel II. -
Victor Emmanuel II is Crowned King
After Garibaldi and the Red Shirts unified all of Italy, Garibaldi handed the throne over to Victor Emmanuel II. -

Cavour was appointed a Prime Minister by Victor Emmanuel, Cavour was able to improve agriculture, build railroads, and encourage commerce by supporting free trade, -

Bismark was named the Prime Minister because he formed alliances with Austria, he pursued several foreign policy goals, built strong links between Austria and Russia, and he was initally able to keep his distance away from England -
