    The name of the leader was Toussaint L’Ouverture. The reason there was a revolution is because of slavery. Their enemy was the french. The Revolution started in 1794.

The governing was the problem because Napoleon started to raise up the taxes. The country who started to try claim independence was Portugal. The Revolution started in 1810.
