From these messages people has spiritual experiences which in some cases caused them to shake. This was important to the prelude to the civil war because The second great awakening mainly encouraged people to challenge the beliefs they had including that of slavery.

For the longest time they weren't given simple rights that were given to men like voting. Women started to protest for these simple rights, This is important to the prelude to the civil war because it showed that there was an issue just as big as slavery that needed help too.

This convention launched the women's suffrage movement. They drafted 11 resolutions one being that they were equal to men. This was super important to the prelude to the civil war because it showed that people were starting to challenge beliefs including slavery.

    Uncle tom's cabin was a novel written by harriet beecher stowe. It exposed some of the dangers and unethical things that happened in slavery. This was important to the prelude to the civil war for obvious reasons. This novel was widely published and read by the public. This generated beliefs in people about slavery and started encouraging them on thinking how they could help
