    Conception
    Fertilization is when the sperm and egg meet, and about three days after conception, the cells begin to multiply. The cells move to the uterus wall where the placenta begins to form.
  • Month 1

    Month 1
    The baby is developing structures that will become the face and neck, the heart and blood vessels continue to develop. The lungs, stomach, and liver also begin to develop.
  • Month 3

    Month 3
    The baby is about 2 inches long and will probably start to move. The doctor's may start to hear the heart beat and the sex organs should become clear
  • Month 2

    Month 2
    The baby is over a half an inch long, eyelids and ears are forming, and can see the tip of the nose. Arms and legs are developed and the toes and fingers grow longer.
  • Month 4

    Month 4
    The baby now measures about 4.3 to 4.6 inches and weighs about 3.5 oz. The baby's eyes can blink and the heart and blood vessels are fully formed and the baby's fingers and toes have fingerprints.
  • Month 5

    Month 5
    The baby now weighs about 10 oz. and is about 10 inches long, also the baby can suck a thumb, yawn, stretch, and make faces. You should start to fell the baby move.

    Month 6
    Baby weighs about 1.4 pounds now and responds to sounds by moving or increasing his pulse. The inner ear is developed and the baby can sense being upside down in the womb
  • Month 7

    Month 7
    Baby weighs close to 2 pounds 6 oz. The child changes positions many times and the baby has a good chance of survival if he is born premature.
  • Month 8

    Month 8
    The child is about 4 pounds and moves around frequently. Wrinkles go away as fat begins to form under the skin
  • Month 9

    Month 9
    The child's size differs, depending on many factor such as gender for example. The baby is about 6.5 pounds and close to 18 inches long. Lungs are nearly fully developed and the head is usually positioned down into the pelvis by now.
