First Day
A pregnancy is estimated to be 40 weeks long/ starting after the first menstrual period.
Facts:
1) A baby delivered before the 37th week is considered a premature birth
2) When pregnancy is confirmed, a zygote is about the size of an apple seed. -
Week 2 of the First Trimester
During this week, usaually, one of ten eggs is released into the fallopian tube awating a sperm to fetallize it.Happening around the 14th day, this is known as ovulation.
Facts:
1) More than one egg can be released into the fallopian tube at a time to create faternal twins.
2) Once an egg is fetallized, the rest of the sperm in the female's body, are killed off. -
Week 3 of the First Trimester
Right as the egg is fertallized it moves into the uterus and begins dividing.
Facts:
1) The gender of your baby is predetermined by the chromosome that the sperm cell was carrying. An "X" Chromosome for girl and a "Y" Chromosome for boy.
2) An egg and sperm cell have all the DNA requied to produce a child. -
Week 4 of First Trimester
Once the egg reaches the uterus, the implantation process will begin briefly 3 days later.
Facts:
1) Implantation changes the egg into a blastocyte.
2) The Blastocyte contiues to multiply on the inside having around 50 to 60 cells. -
Week 5 of First Trimester
Implantation continues with the Blastocyte still dviding, this begins the embyronic stage.
Facts:
1)The embryo grows from a tiny speck about 2mm - the size of a pin head.
2) During this stage the embryo will start to recieve oxygen and nutrition. -
Week 6 of the First Trimester
The developing Embryo no recieves two flap of tissue on each side of it which will turn into the ears. Women may be fatigued because most of the femles energy goes towards the developing embryo.
Facts:
1)The embryo has reached a size of about 8 mm (1/4 inch) in length.
2)The brain begins to divide into 5 parts. -
Week 7 of the First Trimester
The Embryo will begin to develop its major organs and its heart will start to beat.
Facts:
1)The embryo is around 13 mm (1/2 inch) in length.
2)The baby's eyes and inner ears are starting to develop. -
Week 8 of the First Trimester
The baby's limbs start to develop and the general look of the baby becoming human starts to become noticable.
Facts:
1)The embryo is measures about 18 mm (3/4 inch) in length.
2)Starts to practice moving (not felt by mom till week 20) -
Week 9 of the Firts Trimester
In this week the Embryo now has control of its wrist and elbows, also now gaining the ability to swim around in a fluid filled sac.
Facts:
1)The embryo has grown to measure 30 mm (1.2 inches) in length.
2)The Embryo's see through skin allows you to see its veins. -
Week 10 of the First Trimester
The Embryo now obtains the name of Fetus. Movement can not be felt even though the Fetus is moving.
Fact:
1)The fetus is now the size of a small strawberry.
2)Fingerprints are already evident in the skin. -
Week 11 of the First Trimester
The Fetus is growing its teeth, lip, toes and ears.The brain is growing rapidly and producing more than 250,000 nerve cells a minute.
Facts:
1)The fetus CRL is about 1.5 inches (35mm) in size.
2)Baby can swallow and stick out his or her tongue. -
Week 12 of the First Trimester
The Fetus has developed alot, it now has the ability to feel pain and cry. A scan of the female's stomach can reveal how active the Fetus is.
Facts:
1)The fetus is now about 2.5 inches (6cm) length and weighs about 0.7 ounce (20 g).
2)Fingernails and toenails appear. -
Week 13 of the First Trimester
The Fetus has started to produce insulin to regulate its own blood glucose. The female's stomch starts to enlarge forming a round ball
Facts:
1)The fetus has grown to about 3 inches (8cm) long.
2)Weight approximately 1 ounce (25 grams). -
Week 14 of the Second Trimester
Week fourteen marks the start of the second Trimester. Reproductive parts start to grow.
Facts:
1)The fetus is 3 and half inches (9cm) long.
2)The eyes are slowly moving towards the centre of the face. -
Week 15 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus begins to grow bones and structure comes to the baby's body. Women may start to feel movement.

and weighs about 2.5 ounces (75 grams).
2)The fetus has an adult's taste buds and may be able to savor the mother's meals. -
Week 16 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus is now able to inhale and exhale air. Also the Fetus gains the ability to grasp and kick.

1)The fetus measures nearly 5 inches (12cm) from head to buttocks.
2)The fetus weighs about 3.5 ounces (100 grams). -
Week 17 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus starts to accumulate fat, the bones are still flexabile at this point.

2)The retina has become sensitive to light. -
Week 18 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus now has air sacs growing in its lungs. The baby is practicing crying.
Facts:
1)The fetus is now 6 inches long and weighs 7 ounces.
2)The fetus measures about 15cm and weighs almost 200 grams. -
Week 19 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus's reproductive parts are now becoming obious.
Facts:
1)Fetus is around 6.5 inches (17cm) and 9 ounces (250gm).
2)Your placenta continues to grow and nourish the baby. -
Week 20 of the Second Trimester
This is the mid point in the pregnancy, the Fetus can now process outside noises and will become familliar with common voices.
Facts:
1)Baby now weighes about 11 ounces and is roughly 7 inches long.
2)The mother will probably start feeling the first fetal movements. -
Week 21 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus's bone marrow is now producing blood cells, also the baby will start to absorb sugars.

1)The fetus has grown to 10.5 inches (27 cm) - 12.7 ounces (360 grams).
2)Their small intestine is starting to absorb sugars. -
Week 22 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus can now hear regular talk so this is about the time to start reading to your baby.

1)Baby starts having a regular sleeping and waking rhythm.
2)The weekly weight gain has increased to around 70 grams. -
Week 23 of the Second Trimester
The Fetus begins a regular exersice routine and now has the ability to decide whether it is upside down or not.
Facts:
1)He or she measures over 28cm and weighs up to 550 grams.
2)The baby is over 11 inches tall, weighs about a pound. -
Week 24 of the Second Trimester
The Baby practices daily actions such as breathing and moving.The baby is covered in a waxy substance and light hair to protect it.
Facts:
1)The child is now gaining around 3 ounces (90 grams) a week.
2)Baby weighs about 600 grams and is 30cm (crown to heel) long. -
Week 25 of the Second Trimester
The baby is evenly built, women can expect to look completely pregnant.
Facts:
1)The unborn child is 34 cm in length and weighs almost 690 grams
2)Baby is around 13.5 inches in length and weighs 1 and half pounds. -
Week 26 of the Second Trimester
The baby will start to suck on his thumb which will stregthen his cheek muscle. This ends the Second Trimester.

Week 27 of the Third Trimester
The baby can now open his eyes and thrughouly recognize vocies. yaou are now two thirds of the way into pregnancy.

Week 28 of the Third Trimester
The baby can now dream while he asleep, his/her eyelids will be opening wildly now.

2)The feet are just over 2 inches (5.5cm) long. -
Week 29 of the Third Trimester
The baby is now preforming very quick and hard kicks and pushes. Eyes can now follow lights with the ability to move thier eyes in its socket.

1)Your baby now weighsabout 2 and a half pounds (1150gm)
2)Brain is busy developing billions of neurons. -
Week 30 of the Third Trimester
The baby will now grow at an astounishing rate gaining about half a pound every week.
Facts:
1)Baby measurements are 16 inches and weighs about 3 pounds.
2)Length is 40cm and your baby's weight is 1.4 kilograms. -
Weekk 31 of the Third Trimester
The baby continues to grow more alert and its organs will contiue to mature.
Facts:
1)Baby weighs 3.5 pounds and measures 16.5 inches from the head to heel.
2)Baby's weight is about 1.6 kg and length around 42cm. -
Week 32 of the Thrid Trimester
Baby is now becoming to big for the uterus and will stop moving because of the spance.

2)The diameter of the head is almost 4 inches (10cm). -
Week 33 of the Third Trimester
The baby is now gowin actual hair and their nails are long enough to cover their finger tips.

2)The diameter of the head is about 8.5cm. -
Week 34 of the Third Trimester
Baby may now be born outside the womb but may go through major complications. Still, bones may not be properly fused together.

Week 35
The baby continues to gain weight as his movements are now more coordinated.

Week 36 of the Third Trimester
Contractions may now occur with the baby ready to be dropped.

Week 37 of the Third Trimester
The baby can come any minute at this point, women must continue to exersice.

Week 38 of the Third Trimester
The baby is complete; hair fingernails and hair will contiue to grow. baby will contiue to gain weight.
